is witty and humorous in parts, but at the same time, the story is so fragile that it runs out of breath when stretched for 2 long hours.Had debutante director Indrajit Nattoji concentrated on just two characters – the cop who loses his gun and the terrorist who loses his heart – instead of focussing on the assorted characters, this one would’ve been one helluva ride.

AAGEY SE RIGHT tells the story of a cop [Shreyas Talpade] and terrorist [Kay Kay Menon]. Through a series of events not in their control, the cop loses his gun and the terrorist loses his heart. Their two worlds collide…

To start with, the screenplay doesn’t do justice to the wild and imaginative story. In fact, the writing has loopholes aplenty. To cite an instance, Vjay Maurya is supposed to be the front man of the terrorists in Mumbai, but when Kay Kay has a change of heart, so does he. Strange, isn’t it? Ditto for Shehnaz Treasurywala, who dances in a sleazy bar, is later visiting studios for film assignments and much later, also dances at the police function [in the finale]. Even Kay Kay’s part suffers due to poor writing. His change of heart looks weird.

Barring Shreyas, Mahi Gill [television reporter] and Bharti Achrekar [Shreyas' mom], the characters are not well defined. s the Sundance, TriBeca, SXSW and Cannes Film Festivals wrap up in the first half of every year, a handful of films generate enough positive reviews that we in the entertainment news industry instinctively begin to discuss their respective Oscar prospects. It seems a bit silly – talking about award-worthy movies whilst the studios that produce and/or purchase them are simultaneously throwing their most expensive and often most odious fare at the multiplex. It’s also a futile practice, as even more high-quality motion pictures inevitably hit theaters in the months that follow, rendering many early hopefuls stale by comparison.

Jennifer Yuh Nelson will direct the 3D animated film for Dreamworks, taking over for dual directors Mark Osborne and John Stevenson, who did the first film. This will be her first feature-length film, having previously directed an episode of the animated series “Spawn”. If that sounds like a mighty flimsy resume to be taking on a big movie like the “Kung Fu Panda” sequel, well, it kinda is.I don’t get too excited about big-name stars (or even people I like) joining the cast of an animated movie, even a movie that I’m excited to see like the “Kung fu Panda” sequel, “The Kaboom of Doom”. I mean, it’s animation. It’s not like I’ll actually get to see Michelle Yeoh (left) and Jean-Claude Van Damme (below) kicking a real-life panda’s ass, you know. (Though admittedly, that would be so cool, if so wrong. And probably so illegal in China.)

Anyways, Dreamworks has announced that besides Gary Oldman, “The Kaboom of Doom” has added three more name to the cast: Yeoh, Van Damme, and “Alias’s” Victor Garber. The threesome join the recently cast Oldman, as well as returning players Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, David Cross and James Hong.

Oldman’s character is Lord Shen, a peacock and the film’s new formidable villain, thus ruining that whole “mysterious” description about his character when we last reported on it. Meanwhile, Yeoh will play the mystical The Soothsayer, a goat, while the Muscles from Brussels and Sidney Bristow’s dad will play Master Croc and Master Thundering Rhino, respectively.

“The Kaboom of Doom” finds furry panda Po (Black) on a personal journey that has him crossing paths with the new characters.Po is now living his dream as The Dragon Warrior, protecting the Valley of Peace alongside his friends and fellow kung fu masters, The Furious Five–Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper and Monkey. I would say an upcoming “Super Animated Movie”. The Dream Works Studio have outdone themselves yet again. With a unique story and voices shared by Bradd Pitt, Will Ferrell and more bring Megamind. It could turn out to be the best and the most earning animated film of 2010.

If you’ve seen the movie trailers, you probably think the movie is about two super aliens, Megamind and Metro Man. In reality, the movie is mostly about Megamind (hence the name of the movie). The movie starts off with the story of Megamind and Metro Man being sent to Earth from their respective home planets in a time of crisis. Metro Man eventually grows up to become a popular superhero while Megamind turns into a super villain. The movie reminds me of the Superman storyline. Metro Man is a facsimile of Superman (who was sent to Earth from Krypton when he was a baby). Megamind is essentially a combination of Lex Luthor and Brainiac 5 (who is green instead of blue). The reporter and love interest in the movie, Roxanne Ritchi, represents Lois Lane. The film even implies Metro Man’s weakness is copper (Superman’s weakness is kryptonite).

Megamind (the main lead role in the movie)is an evil mastermind set on taking over Metro City, but repetitively defeated by local Superhero Metro Man. After Megamind unintentionally kills Metro Man during an evil-scheme-gone-wrong, he discovers that life without his arch-rival just isn’t the same. When you watch Megamind online movie review, you will make out that in order to bring back the thrill to his life, Megamind endeavors to craft a new superhero that will exceed even Metro Man, but once again things don’t go according to plan. The clock is ticking and the moral compass of Brody is constantly changing. Now she must assume responsibility to the people, their perceptions of fear and paranoia, strength and cruelty and to choose between right and wrong.

What can I say? I’d heard nothing about this film until I had a look at some reviews on here, sounded like something which might be my cup of tea and had a decent cast……what a good film.

I have no idea why people have watched this and called it propaganda – it’s a film! Granted, the subject matter is realistic and presents a scenario which could have already happened or could happen in the future. The film is very clever for this reason as it makes you ask yourself (or whoever you are viewing with) lots of questions. What would you deem as moral/acceptable? How far would you go to save the lives of thousands? Should we be governed by laws when dealing with people who have none?

Having seen some really awful Christian films somehow along the way, I was extremely wary to even give this one a look, but got talked into it nevertheless, and was very surprised.

For once, a solid, interesting story that actually might appeal to someone outside of a church audience. As a matter of fact, it really strayed from the usual modus operandi of Christian films, which is to really push the bible rather than to just tell a story.

It seemed very mature in storytelling, as the plot lines were all different, but somehow intersected and worked with each-other and in the end, though all got resolved in a somewhat typical Hollywood fashion, the story itself kept me pretty involved and I found it to be, for the most part, compelling, which I can’t say for any of the other Christian films I’ve seen.

The cinematography was done fairly well, and though the lighting did seem a little forced, the camera work was solid and the editing was cohesive and focused. The acting, for the most part, was natural, though some came off better than others.

All in all, this is not going to score anyone a whole lot of mainstream buzz or come out the other side with any real awards, but I found it to be, by far, the best of this genre I’ve seen, and I would recommend it as a rental for sure.
